SOS Children's Villages will brand a new inner-championship for F2000 and F1600. Sharon, CT – SOS Children’s Villages has been named the official charity of the F2000 Championship Series and the F1600 Formula F Championship Series. SOS Children's Villages focuses on family-based, long-term care of children who can no longer grow up with their biological families. The charity’s new initiative, “Keeping Kids on Track,” will brand a new inner-championship for both F2000 and F1600: The SOS Children’s Villages Watkins Glen Cup.

A Guerilla Marketing Wars contest has been launched for F2000 and F1600.Sharon, CT – The F2000 Championship Series and F1600 Formula F Championship Series have announced a guerrilla marketing contest that will run throughout the season. The award will go to the best product placement F2000 or F1600 receives in “guerrilla style” from March 1 – October 13, 2011.

b_200_150_16777215_00_images_stories_11offseason_ct1.jpgSharon, CT - Soon to be 17 year-old American Colin Thompson is set to run the inaugural edition of the F1600 Formula F Championship Series in a Swift DB6 with Honda Fit power.  So far, 47 drivers are registered for the inaugural season. The high school junior grew up on a farm in Perkasie, Pennsylvania, just outside of Philadelphia. Thompson began his racing career at the age of five, and competed in the VW TDI Cup last year, becoming the youngest driver to race in that series. Thompson also brings an abundance of quarter midget experience to the grid.
