(photo: Valet)Millville, NJ – Shae Davies continued to impress in his American debut, winning on Sunday at Thunderbolt to complete a sweep of two F1600 Formula F  Championship Series races in the No. 9 Spectrum/Honda combination for Cape Motorsports with Wayne Taylor Racing. Teammate Matias Koykka finished second in a similar car, after the two traded the lead back and forth throughout the race. Championship leader Brandon Newey finished third, down by almost 20 seconds, in a Mygale/Honda.

Shae Davies (photo: Valet)Millville, NJ – In his first ever F1600 Formula F Championship Series start, Australian Shae Davies recovered from dropping back on lap one to pick through the field, and then inherited the lead for his first win on U.S. soil driving the No. 9 Spectrum/Honda for Cape Motorsports with Wayne Taylor Racing. Completing the podium were Colin Thompson in a Swift/Honda and Jeremy Grenier in a Citation/Honda.

KoykkaMillville, NJ – With no power at the track and a paddock left in shambles from a massive storm on Friday night, Finland’s Matias Koykka kept his 2012 pole streak alive in the Spectrum/Honda for Cape Motorsports with Wayne Taylor Racing, outgunning teammate Shae Davies in the closing stages of qualifying for race five of the 2012 season at New Jersey Motorsports Park’s Thunderbolt circuit.
