F1600 LogoFormula Race Promotions officials can report that the driver involved in an early race incident during round 15 of the 2018 F1600 Championship Series season has been released from a hospital in Pittsburgh.

Despite minor bumps and bruises, the driver is in good spirits​ and on the way home.

FRP officials would like to extend their thank you to the track staff, corner workers, marshalls, and EMTs for their efforts.

F1600 LogoWampum, PA – Formula Race Promotions officials cancelled round 15 of the 2018 season taking place at Pittsburgh International Race Complex following an incident early in the race. The race was declared a non-race; the decision not to restart was made in the interest of safety. More information will be released as it becomes available.

Tyler O'Connor Takes the Win

Wampum, PA – A daring last lap pass by Tyler O’Connor saw him barely beat Braden Eves to the checkered flag, taking the victory in the second of three F1600 races at Pittsburgh International Race Complex during the Keystone Speedfest. The margin of victory was just .060 seconds after 14 action-packed green-flag laps around the 2.8-mile course. Championship leader Dario Cangialosi finished third.

Braden Eves

Wampum, PA – Braden Eves hung tough in his F1600 Championship Series debut, winning the first of three F1600 races at the Keystone Speedfest at Pittsburgh International Race Complex. Staying at the front of the pack for the majority of laps for Rice Race Prep, Eves was pushed back to third after contact, and capitalized on last lap fireworks to score the victory after 14 green flag laps.

Wampum, PA - Baylor Griffin took his K-Hill Motorsports Mygale/Honda to the pole position in F1600 Championship Ssries competitoin at the Keystone Speedfest at Pittsburgh International Race Complex. In his Series debut, Rice Race Prep driver Braden Eves qualified second ahead of Tyler O'Connor and points leader Dario Cangialosi. View results.

Wampum, PA - K-Hill Motorsports driver Tyler O'Connor was the fastest in F1600 Championship Series Friday practice for the Keystone Speedfest at Pittsburgh International Race Complex. O'Connor, second in points, posted the fastest lap of the day in the morning session, while series newcomer Braden Eves impressed with the fastest time in the afternoon session for Rice Race Prep. Yuven Sundaramoorthy was second quick in the morning session, ahead of points leader Dario Cangialosi, who improved to second fastest in the afternoon practice for K-Hill.
