Indianapolis Motor Speedway Spec Fuel Announcement
- 30 May 2017
All entrants please be advised the only legal fuel to be used at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway event with SVRA June 9-11, 2017 will be:
F2000 Zetec or MZR powered cars, and F1600 Honda Fit powered cars requiring 93 octane unleaded fuel—the required fuel is the Sunoco 93 octane unleaded fuel supplied by Corrigan Oil, the Sunoco fuel supplier for SVRA at this event.
F2000 Pinto powered cars and F1600 Kent powered cars are required to run the Sunoco 110 octane leaded fuel supplied by Corrigan Oil, the Sunoco fuel supplier for SVRA at this event.
FA is required to run the Sunoco 110 octane leaded fuel as supplied by Corrigan Oil, or Sunoco 260GT (100 octane unleaded) as supplied by Corrigan Oil or by the competitor.
All fuel testing commencing with first qualifying on June 10, 2017 will be using the above specified fuel as the baseline for chemical and dielectric comparison. This allows teams to have the practice sessions on Friday June 9th to flush their tanks.
