In adverse conditions Josh Green stormed to pole for race one at Summit Point!
Summit Point, this the F1600 Championship’s penultimate event, Josh Green and Jonathan Kotyk are neck and neck in the points. There is only fifteen points between the two and three hundred points still are on the table before the completion of the season. For qualifying here at Summit Point, which is a rather high speed circuit, the session certainly is just a precursor to what will be a draft fest in race one. That said, for the top two protagonists they will certainly be aiming for the top times if for nothing more than to assert their dominance.
As rain fell, the session was run in fairly wet conditions. The drivers however battled on, and it was clear that the top two were gunning for each other. Green and Kotyk were again the front two showing their dominance once again. Bryce Aron tried to make inroads on the top two, but utlimately he would have to settle for the third starting spot. Joe Colasacco will start fourth, he represents the fastest master’s driver, meanwhile Jackson Lee was fifth, and Charles Anti sixth.
